What To ExpectAs a guest of First Baptist Church, I hope you have taken the time to read the “Who We Are and What We Believe” section of this website. If so, then you are beginning to have a sense as to whether or not this is a church family of which the Lord would have you be a part as you seek to grow and be challenged in your relationship with Him. From a more pragmatic perspective let me share what it is you can expect upon your Sunday morning arrival to First Baptist Church.
First, from the moment you drive into the parking lot or walk into our buildings, you can expect a warm welcome. Our greeters will receive you with a smile, a firm handshake, and an occasional hug. If you are worried about not knowing where to go, set your concerns aside. The greeters easily recognize that “lost” look and will give you a personal escort to your desired destination.Second, you can expect to find a small group Bible study. These small groups are not only age-appropriate but are organized, also, according to your current life-stage. These small group studies are designed to bring the Scriptures to life that we might understand how the Word of God informs every facet of our lives. Small Group Bible Study >> For your children, you can expect pristine facilities that offer the highest safeguards of security. It is within this protected environment that your child will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning activities that are designed to bring to life the reality of God’s love for them and to facilitate the discovery of God’s plan for their life. Finally, because we are designed to worship our Creator, who has revealed himself in the resurrected and exalted Christ, you will find opportunities to praise the name of the Lord in ways that best fit your unique personality. Recognizing the distinctive personalities within the body of Christ, we have sought to design various creative worship opportunities that best facilitates worship for the various personality types that are found in the life of the church. The 8:15am service is designed with more traditional elements while the 11:00am service includes a progressive blend of both the old and the new. Times & Directions >> If you are looking for a church home we would welcome the opportunity to minister to your spiritual needs. |
