SERVING YOUR COMMUNITY

Kids Hope USA

Your willingness to invest just one hour a week of your time is the one that can change the life of an at-risk student. At Dupre Elementary there are a variety of ministry opportunities that would allow us to express the love of Christ and be the presence of God in the life of a child—volunteering to read with kids, tutoring kids in reading and math, donating physical education equipment, donating small gifts for student incentives (for attendance, good behavior, etc.), or helping to provide teacher appreciation lunches.

Silent Partners

The Silent Partner Ministry is a local ministry of First Baptist Church with the goal of having members of the church provide prayer support for every law enforcement officer in Lubbock County.  Each officer who requests a Silent (prayer) Partner will have a member or members of the church pray daily for God's protection to surround the officer and the officer's family.

To obtain additional information about this ministry, to become a Silent Partner or if you are a law enforcement officer in Lubbock County who would like to have a Silent Partner, please contact Jim Tillinghast.

Community Service

serving where you live

Being the "light of the world" in your own backyard and in your community.

13  “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men.
14  “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden;15  nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.

16  “Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 5:13-16
