GET TO KNOW:
DAVID HARDAGE
INTERIM PASTOR
Tell us a bit about yourself. When did you come to First Lubbock?
I grew up in Lamesa, Texas, the son of a Texas Baptist Pastor. I met my wife Kathleen, at Baylor University. We have 2 children, John, who is married to Melissa and they are the parents to our granddaughters, Anne Marie and Molly. Our daughter is Rebekah and we all live in Dallas, not to far from each other.
I began serving FBC LBK on July 1, 2024
What's your favorite place you've visited?
Kathleen and I took a Viking River Cruise down the Rhine river about a year ago and it was just wonderful.
Other than Jesus, what historical figure would you most like to meet?
The historical figure I’d like to meet most, besides Jesus, is Colonel William Barrett Travis, Commander of the Alamo. His letter from the Alamo is amazing!
What are a few of your hobbies?
I am a big college Sports fan, particularly a Baylor fan and I am an avid runner, doing some kind of running event almost every Saturday.
What do you love most about First Lubbock?
What I love most about FBC LBK are the people. This Church family is loving, gracious, kind and anxious to see God at work.
What would you say to a guest to encourage them on their journey to finding a church home?
I hope all FBC LBK guests will be sensitive to God’s leadership in Church membership, of course, but I hope they see the value of a downtown church, close to a large University Campus, and with a desire to see Him at work!
